An interactive map, which shows the way the world is depicted can affect our perceptions of countries, has won an award from the Geographical Association. Mapping Our World, from Oxfam, has previously won a Bafta for best British primary education resource. The free website allows pupils to flatten a globe into a map and compare different types of maps. They are guided through activities by characters such as Bob the Pirate and aliens from the planet Famox.
