Focus on training, skills

The Scottish Cabinet called in leading lights from lifelong learning on Tuesday to its weekly meeting in Bute House, Edinburgh, in order to shape ministerial thinking on how training and skills can help Scotland beat the recession. They "play a central part in our collective response to the economic downturn", First Minister Alex Salmond said.
