CHILDREN need to be taught how to provide themselves with a balanced diet and how to resist the marketing ploys of food companies, according to Getting to Grips with Grub. The consultation paper, from the Food Standards Agency and the Department for Education and Skills, is the latest government attempt to tackle the growing problem of obesity, which is also the subject of an inquiry by MPs.
