French practice for languages teacher

The Primary Language Teacher of the Year Award has been given to Janet Mair of Neroche Primary School in Ilminster, Somerset. Mrs Mair, the school's languages and literacy co-ordinator, has been involved in training teachers and developing resources in her local authority area. She wins a trip to France for 30 pupils and five teachers, and #163;2,000 of Scholastic and La Jolie Ronde books and resources.
