Nicole Ranson is a newly qualified teacher who's worked in the English department at Beal high school, London borough of Redbridge, for six months She and 11 other NQTs have made a big contribution to the school - a successful and expanding mixed comprehensive. Melanie Hall, a fellow NQT, nominated Nicole for raising her spirits when they were flagging. "She is a fantastic teacher already," write Melanie, "but she really added to the atmosphere." Nicole has just landed a new job, so Beal high's loss is nearby Seven Kings' gain.
