Gaelic - Voices from the past

12th December 2008 at 00:00

A Gaelic Christmas songs and carols book, entitled Duan Nollaig, has been published. It follows the successful production of the Duan Nollaig CD in 2007. Both were created through Highland Council's Mairi Mhor Gaelic Song Fellowship, in response to requests from all over the world.

Fiona Mackenzie, Mairi Mhor Gaelic Song Fellow, hopes the book will help Highland teachers who struggle to find material for Christmas concerts.

The book costs Pounds 10 and is available from Highland Council's education centre in Dingwall, Highlander Music in Muir of Ord, The Music Shop in Inverness, other retailers and online outlets.
