A PRIMARY teacher who downloaded dozens of indecent internet images of children walked free from court after claiming he was collecting evidence for an anti-child pornography website.

Gareth Cowell, 37, was sentenced to a three-year community rehabilitation order after Wolverhampton Crown Court was told he gained no sexual gratification from the pictures. But the judge banned him from working with children and ordered him to register as a sex offender for five years.
