Gary gets a crisp response

VISITORS to The TES Scotland-backed early years and primary exhibition in Glasgow were greeted by BBC frontman and former England goal-bagger Gary Lineker, who was there in full display.

A smiling cardboard cutout welcomed the crowds to the Walkers Showcase stand, while the real Lineker was honouring his lucrative contract with the crisp manufacturer by gladhanding anyone who wanted to shake the hand of the man who liked burying Scottish hopes. Sadly, that famous smile appeared little in evidence as the great man signed autographs for several hours.

Must be the first time he's had an off day in Glasgow.
