Gateway to industry bursaries

Fourteen teachers of design technology, science and careers from the Thames Gateway spent last half-term experiencing local manufacturing industry. The five-day course, run by Gateway to Industry as part of the "Making Your Future" programme, included visits to the Fabric Print and Design Bureau at Thames Gateway Technology Centre and to Trelleborg Automotives. The bursaries are worth pound;300 each. Enfield Education Business Partnership is co-ordinating a similar programme in south and west London. Contact Peter O'Brien.
