Geography is still thriving
Geography is still the highest ranking non-compulsory subject at GCSE:let us not forget that approximately a quarter of a million children choose to do it.
Over the last year the Government has introduced greater opportunities for teaching and learning geography and history as distinct disciplines with the humanities entitlement post-14 and inclusion in the specialist schools programme.
