THE Government has been pressed to take "urgent action" to address obesity in pupils or risk overburdening the National Health Service. Liberal Democrat sports spokesman Bob Russell warned that unless young people got fitter, the country could face serious health problems. The Health Department is to fund nine local exercise action pilots to encourage more exercise among people of all ages.
