Teachers on the TES website's forum have been arguing over their worst present from colleagues. One contributor recalled getting a coffee cup and cappuccino milk frother as a leaving present from an unobservant head: "A nice present, you might think... if you drink coffee."

But that's nothing compared to a teacher given a book called How To Look After Your Husband and Family. It was not really to my taste but made worse by the fact that I was going through a divorce at the time."
