Going to work on a slogan

NO one forgets a good advertising slogan, so the Teacher Training Agency is chancing its arm with a series of adverts to attract recruits to the classroom.

Potential primary teachers are transported to the sunlit realm of Teletubbyland where an ethereal voice asks that vital question: "Could you teach multiplication?" Eh Oh.

Secondary teachers are expected o sign up in their droves when they see a clip of the French aristocracy losing their heads in the revolution. The voice asks:

"Can you bring the dead back to life?"

But if all else fails, there's always baser motives. One advert features a shot of six pianos on the beach with the voice-over: "Can you imagine being given six grand for training?"
