9th February 2007 at 00:00
A film about climate change by former US vice-president Al Gore will be sent to every secondary school in England.

Alan Johnson, the Education Secretary, said a copy of An Inconvenient Truth will be sent as part of a teaching pack. "Children are the key to changing society's long-term attitudes to the environment," he said.

This week, global warming was added to the key stage 3 geography curriculum.
