Governor council review

THE Government is to fund a review of the role and activities of one of the two big governor organisations. The National Governors' Council represents 88 education authority-based associations of govenors from around the country, and is active politically in lobbying ministers. The Department for Education and Employment is supporting the organisation to the tune of pound;115,000 this year.
