Healthy eating

It can't all be left to Jamie Oliver and his power to persuade prime ministers. Facing the Food Issue is a 16-page guide for school managers, aimed at promoting healthy eating ideas. It suggests how to make an audit of school meals, tuck shops and packed lunches and then describes practical steps for making improvements in what's currently provided. Ideas include growing your own vegetables, getting nutritional information into the curriculum, offering alternative contents for lunch boxes and - most effective of all - creating genuinely nourishing school dinners. Facing the Food Issue is available in English and Welsh.
