Kenny MacAskill, the SNP frontbencher, is well known as a political pugilist, not to mention his famous detention by Her Majesty's finest during a Scotland football trip to London.

How appropriate that he should have put down a parliamentary question to ask the Executive "whether funding for after-school instruction in martial arts, such as kung fu and kickboxing, can be made available through the active schools strategy?"
