Homophobia's effect on sport

Homophobia in school can put gay students off sport for life, research by the National Union of Students has found. Just a third of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students questioned said they would take part in team sports by the time they got to college or university; 41.9 per cent said they had been put off by a negative experience at school.
