Our last minute round up of news and views 'Do you worry about your display areas and notice boards?' The Alternative Display Company wants to know. The answer may be that you have far more important things with which to concern yourself. However, there's no doubt that a a bit of time and attention spent on presenting the children's work attractively can do wonders in an otherwise dismal classroom and it certainly helps boost the children's self esteem, too.

Some schools are lucky to have one or more members of staff who are naturally talented at presentation work but if there is no one around who is that way inclined the answer may be to ask Alternative Design to organise a seminar; it might be just the job for your next INSET day. Each seminar lasts four hours and includes lots of hands-on experimentation. The topics covered include the tools of the trade, standard materials, the right way to dress a noticeboard and the display table and the promise is that all materials are easily obtainable and affordable. The seminar costs pound;400 plus VAT and expenses.
