How to exercise safely

18th April 2008 at 01:00
A new edition of the handbook Safe Practice in Physical Education and School Sport is to be published by the Association for Physical Education in July. This is the seventh revision of the book, which gives expert advice to teachers on safe practice in physical education in schools.

The first section covers general safe practice advice, risk management, administration, the law, accidents and first aid management.

The second part provides specific guidance on safe practice in a wide range of specific physical education activities, including games, dance, swimming and health-related exercise.
