I present this medal made of fool's gold to Cameron

Many politicians perform well in the "misuse of evidence" event but the prime minister's recent pronouncements on school sports surely place him in a league of his own. Having just seen 65 Olympic medals won by Team GB athletes brought up in what he sneeringly and inaccurately calls a culture of "prizes for all", he advocates a return to the 1950s and 1960s and an emphasis on competitive team sports. The trouble is that at the 1960 Olympics in Rome, Great Britain took home just 20 medals.

George Bethell, Stowmarket, Suffolk.
