Computing power maximised

NComputing, which specialises in desktop virtualisation, where users share computing power, has developed a package for schools. Known as "Classroom in a box", it enables schools to use just one PC to power 30 computers and claims to lower their maintenance and support costs by 75 per cent.

Tick for interactive markbook

Primary school teachers can save up to 30 teaching hours per year by migrating their assessments online, according to the producers of a new interactive markbook, Classroom Monitor. Teachers can use the product to keep all reports across every subject in one location.

Chance to try out new software

Former ICT teacher Zoe Ross has set up her own company, DoDigital, to provide teachers with an opportunity to try out new software. The company will be hosting a series of workshops over the summer, including creative ICT for key stage 3 and Google apps for education.
