If the hard hat fits

(Photograph) - If the hard hat fits: designers of a new dedicated children's area in Manchester's City Art Gallery have brought in local youngsters to see what they think of the project, part of a pound;25 million expansion of the gallery. The 12 young 'consultants', aged six to 12, all belong to the Benchil children's centre after-school club in Wythenshawe. Gallery bosses have said they are keen to meet the children's demands for interactivity and 'things they can touch'.
