If the hard hat fits

(Photograph) - If the hard hat fits: designers of a new dedicated children's area in Manchester's City Art Gallery have brought in local youngsters to see what they think of the project, part of a pound;25 million expansion of the gallery. The 12 young 'consultants', aged six to 12, all belong to the Benchil children's centre after-school club in Wythenshawe. Gallery bosses have said they are keen to meet the children's demands for interactivity and 'things they can touch'. Pictured (left to right) are Tara Stone, Jodie Doyle, Hannah Fairhurst and Kyle Doyle.
