The scheme celebrates its 20th anniversary in 1996 when five laureates will receive $50,000 (about Pounds 32,000) each and ten associate laureates $10,000 each. 1996 award application deadline is March 31, 1995, for projects in three categories: applied science and invention; exploration and discovery; and the environment.
