Insight into tree life

27th September 1996 at 01:00
Children are being invited to take action for trees and the environment by participating in the Esso Treewatch survey, a Wildlife Watch project.

A mountain bike is offered as an incentive. The survey covers how trees are coping with life on our streets, whether the charcoal in your barbecue is good for the woods, paper wasting, and where to find ancient trees. An accompanying key stage 2-3 pack costing Pounds 10 (Pounds 5 to Wildlife Watch members) has been produced for science teachers, containing booklets, a board game, posters and a survey results booklet. For more information contact Phil Budd, Esso Treewatch, co Shropshire Wildlife Trust, 167 Frankwell, Shrewsbury, Shropshire SY3 8LG. Tel: 01743 241691.
