An inspector calls, 2

10th March 2006 at 00:00
The inspection was finished. The chief inspector hovered outside the heidie's office to present his findings. Enter a small person of P3 vintage: "You that inspector man?"

"Yes, sonny, I am."

"Is this your last day, then?"

"Aye, it is."

"Where do you go now, then?"

"To inspect another school."

"That's a pity."

"Why's that, son?"

"'Cos this place seems to run an awful lot better when you folk are around."

Credit to the chief: the report was not changed.
