BUDDING barristers Mairead Ross and Marie-Louise Cassidy led St Patrick's Girls Academy, Dungannon, to victory in last weekend's Bar National Mock Trial Competition in Southwark Crown Court, London. The 16-member Northern Irish team beat Aberdeen grammar school in the final of the Ctizenship Foundation's annual contest, which was judged by Lord Nicolas Browne-Wilkinson, the senior Law Lord. The legal reporting section of the competition, sponsored by The TES, was won by Gemma Brown, a sixth-former at Calday Grange grammar school, West Kirby, Wirral.
