Isle be gentle?

David Bell, the chief inspector, was spotted wearing a cuddly-looking Guernsey jumper while lunching with a group of business types at Covent Garden's Livebait restaurant on Monday.

Mr Woodhead, if we recall correctly, used to wear a chain-mail shift with a polished leather codpiece on his dress-down days. Can we expect fairer inspections from a Fair Isle inspectorate? Or is that woolly thinking?
