Kelly's historic speech to HMC

5th August 2005 at 01:00
Ruth Kelly will become the first Education Secretary in living memory to address the leading gathering of private school headteachers.

Her appearance at the annual meeting of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference (HMC) in October will be seen as a further attempt by the Government to build bridges between the state and private sectors.
