Kender primary

29th June 2007 at 01:00
In last week's TES we used a picture of a teaching assistant at Kender primary in New Cross, south-east London, to illustrate a story about the Unison union conference.

It was not our intention to imply that the school or headteacher, Lynn Hayward, was involved in the bullying or poor payment of teaching assistants.

The picture was meant to illustrate the vital work carried out by support staff in all our schools.

We apologise for any distress caused.
