Kids play for just half an hour a day

The average child plays for 37 minutes during the school day, according to research by the children's charity Play England and the British Toy and Hobby Association. Adrian Voce, director of Play England, said: "We're concerned that children are losing the freedom to simply be children. Not only is school break time the main chance children get to play with their friends, but research shows that making time for children to play during the school day actually improves concentration and behaviour."
