Kirk's applause for UHI;Letter

12th June 1998 at 01:00
Your issue of May 29 contained an article from the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland on the Highland Theological Institute. While your reporter summarised the debate more fairly than others have done, he failed to mention that the eventual outcome was that the following motion was approved: "That the General Assembly applaud the establishment of the University of the Highlands and Isands project and commend the work of the Highland Theological Institute as part thereof and encourage them to work on the development of their theological courses."

(Rev) Hector Morrison

Depute director

Highland Theological Institute Moray College, Elgin
