Labour diet pledge

A Labour government will re-introduce national nutritional standards for school meals - the standards were abolished in 1980. David Blunkett, Labour's education and employment spokesman, told Unison, the union representing school kitchen staff, at their Bournemouth conference that children today are growing up on a diet of chips.
