Language award

7th November 2008 at 00:00

The European Award for Languages is calling for entries for the 2009 awards. The scheme aims to recognise the creative ways that schools, colleges, adult education and community projects are using to improve the quality of language teaching.

To qualify, language projects must provide an inspiration to others, be replicable and involve any language other than English. Entries must be in by January 30.

One project will be selected by the Mary Glasgow Trust to receive its annual award of Pounds 2,000. Other prizes include Pounds 1,000 for the best project involving community languages and the best project involving languages in business.
