Voting for the Royal Mail Awards for Scottish Children's Books closes at 5.30pm today. Finalists in the early years category are Manfred the Baddie by John Fardell, Pink by Lynn Rickards and Margaret Chamberlain, and Stick Man by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. For 8-11 years: Dino Egg by Charlie James, The Eleventh Orphan by Joan Lingard, First Aid for Fairies and Other Fabled Beasts by Lari Don. For 12-16 years: Crash by JA Henderson, Ostrich Boys by Keith Gray, The Reckoning by James Jauncey. Winners will be announced on November 24 at the Queen's Hall in Edinburgh.
