Leak reveals fears over free schools

Government officials have raised concerns that many of the first wave of free schools will miss key deadlines and may not be ready to open on time. A leaked document reveals that the first tranche of schools may number only eight. Education Secretary Michael Gove recently announced that 16 free schools were expected to open next September.
