Student project: As a director of one of the UK's leading high street fashion outlets, the board of directors has asked you to provide a dynamic solution to reverse the progressive decline in the company's financial results over the past five years. You have come up with a radical idea to move the company's manufacturing base to the province of Guangdong, China.

You now need to put forward a case for such a move. Using Powerpoint and Excel, you must include projected percentage profit margins, evidence of the successes of similar western organisations transferring manufacturing to China, and the strengthgrowth of the Chinese economy. This must be counter-balanced by recognition of the social, demographic and economic impact of such a venture upon Guangdong and its people. Useful websites:
