ALMOST a third of 16- to 19-year-olds are using illegal drugs on a regular basis, says the Institute for the Study of Drug Dependence

Heroin is used by a third of 15 to 21-year-olds in Fraserburgh, Scotland. Newcastle has the highest teenage alcohol and cigarette consumption; magic mushrooms are popular with one-fifth of 15 to 16-year-olds in Wales; and cocaine is increasingly used in London.
