Letters extra: Collective nouns for subject teachers

29th June 2001 at 01:00
Having been informed of web conferencing areas for groups of subject teachers, lateral thinking led me to try and determine collective nouns for all my colleagues. With help from colleagues, these are what we came up with.

A group of mathematicians

A palette of artists

A molecule of physicists

A compound of chemists

A culture of biologists

A brief of design teachers

A menu of food technologists

A dictionary of English teachers

A cast of drama teachers

An ensemble of French teachers

A conference of business studies teachers

An archive of historians

A class of sociologists

A confluence of geography teachers

A cairn of geologists

A database of ICT teachers

Any further ideas or better suggestions?
