Letters extra: Farmington Institute's Special Needs Millennium Awards

12th March 2004 at 00:00

The extraordinary contribution the Farmington Institute for Christian Studies has made to RE and spiritual development was celebrated in your article ( In good faith, TES Friday magazine, 05.03.04 ).

The Farmington Institute's Special Needs Millennium Awards should also be highlighted - they helped raise the status and quality of RE for children with special needs. Between 2000 and 2003, over a hundred teachers were given time and specialist support to research areas of RE and SEN and to produce teaching materials.

Their reports are also on the Farmington website: www.farmington.ac.uk
