Letters extra: Heaven and Hell - not the whole story?

Re the Inside Story on Heaven and Hell:

I was looking forward to this article when I saw it advertised on the front cover of TES Teacher magazine (27.02.04) and read it with great interest. It was good to see a range of historical and current viewponts on the subject of life after death.

I was however very disappointed not to see a significant viewpoint which I think should be represented and discussed with young people in our schools. That is the position that nothing (other than the decay of the body) happens to us after death and that this life is the only one we have.

This is a belief that many people have and is one which is well worth consideration in the discussion of after-life beliefs.
