Letters extra: solution to exam clashes

15th June 2001 at 01:00

In response to a letter ( TES , June 1) from another AS-level student who was complaining about her exam timetable, I would like to add that I too have a busy timetable.

I have six modular exams in three subjects in just over 24 hours (28 to be precise) due to exam board clashes.

I don't see why we don't have a nationwide single exam board to overcome such problems, especially as with the introduction of AS-levels the number of exams sat is going to increase.
