The article "Brightest lose out in race for targets" (TES, March 26) further verified my opinion that some primary schools now see their pupils as "levels" and not as individuals. At a recent heads' meeting I overheard two colleagues discussing a child who had transferred from one to the other's school. There was no mention of the child's personality or induction. The only remarks concerned the expectations that the child was not going to be a "level 4".
