Looking forward to a new perspective

May I take this opportunity to wish Willis Pickard many years of happy retirement. Over the years he has done a great service to school boards and to the Scottish School Board Association in particular. We have always found him to be a fair and competent reporter of what is going on in schools today.

His plain English and easy to read newspaper has enhanced the role of school boards for parents and teachers alike.

However, I would also ike to congratulate Neil Munro on becoming the new editor of The TESS. Neil has been around for as long as I can remember being involved in "tes" education, has interviewed me on several occasions and I am confident that he will bring a new perspective to the Scottish educational press and bring it even closer to school boards and parents.

Congratulations to you both.
