Mackney heart attack

Paul Mackney, the general secretary of Natfhe, is recovering in hospital after suffering a heart attack on holiday in Greece.

The lecturers' union said that Mr Mackney, who is 55, is in a stable condition.

He was due to fly back to a British hospital today.

A union spokeswoman said that Mr Mackney is not expected to return to work before October at the earliest.
