Two notebooks provide support for two different facets of literacy. Reading Log (12pp) gives children a page to write about each book they have read, with space for factual information, a synopsis, a review and a reflection on why they chose it. The front cover can be filled in to become an at-a-glance summary of titles, genres and star ratings. Creative Writing Notebook (16pp) comprises a series of alliterative two-page spreads - Superb Settings, Crucial Characters, Excellent Endings etc. There's also a thesaurus where children can jot down their favoured words and phrases.

Reading Log and Creative Writing Notebook cost pound;5.99 + VAT for a pack of 16 or pound;9.99 + VAT for a class pack of 32 from Philip Tacey, North Way, Andover SP10 5BA.
