ACCORDING to your lead story (August 25) the exam markers "didn't fail", but rather exam analysts suggest that "teacher unfamiliarity with Higher Still may be the cause of major discrepancies between estmates of pupil grades and actual awards". Have I missed something or was it not these same teachers who did the marking?
