Media - Journalists at role play

10th October 2008 at 01:00

The Denmark-based gaming company, Serious Games Interactive, has already given pupils the chance to explore the Israel-Palestine conflict first-hand as virtual journalists in Jerusalem. This month, they launch the second in their Global Conflict series, allowing pupils again to assume the role of foreign correspondents, but this time in Latin America.

The game is an immersive, fully 3-D, role-playing simulation which, in five separate missions, will allow pupils to uncover the problems facing Latin American countries, including human rights violations, widespread pollution and desperate emigration.

It is up to the pupils to decide what they will do, who they will trust and what they will tell the world.
