I've been browsing on the internet for five hours on the topic of "sexuality within the family and society". I've had three cups of coffee, two cans of energy drink, a Mars bar, a cheese omelette and I've found diddly squat.
I want to become a teacher because I love pressure, long days, legislation, policy and mountains of paperwork... Oh, and the kids. (Ha ha).
The most exciting thing that's happened to me so far is standing up in front of a full lecture theatre and voicing my opinions about the workload and close dates of assignment submissions. I was made a student rep!
But I'm really not looking forward to this year's essay deadlines, QTS skills tests (especially maths) and exam results in July.
I don't understand thermo-dynamics!!
I hope I'll be the kind of teacher who can continue to look past the paperwork and the legislation and keep focused on why I entered the profession in the first place.
