Minister counts on darts

Ivan Lewis, the minister for skills and vocational education, visited the World Professional Darts Championships at Lakeside this week to promote adult numeracy learning with the British Darts Organisation.

Mr Lewis said darts players acquired "amazing agility in numeracy" and encouraged people to enrol on the Government's Get On courses to improve their basic skills. "Darts is a fun way to sharpen up your number skills," he said.
